Meet Dr. Bernard Chang

Becoming an orthodontist was a childhood dream. I am fortunate to have a career I love, where what I do can have a big, lasting impact on my patients’ lives. Literally, I am in a field that brings a smile to people’s faces!

I love, from a technical and medical standpoint, seeing the process and progress of treatment and how that improves the patient’s oral health. Equally as wonderful is being part of the journey that patients take in achieving a great result: seeing the joy before, during, and after my patient’s treatment brings me great satisfaction and pride.

I have practiced orthodontics for 25 years and love the specialty as much today as when I started. Spending my days with people who are seeing me by choice, and knowing what we do together will last a lifetime, is deeply fulfilling.

Education and Experience

Dr. Chang is a Board Certified Orthodontist and a graduate of the renowned Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, where he earned his:

Bachelor of Science in Human Biology (BS)
Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS)
Master of Science in Orthodontics (MS)

In addition to seeing patients in private practice, Dr. Chang is a clinical instructor in the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry Department of Orthodontics.

Throughout the year, Dr. Chang participates in a range of continuing educational opportunities, including meetings, lectures, and seminars, as well as Invisalign® classes. He stays current on the latest trends and research in orthodontics, as well as innovations in technology and technique, and then incorporates the best into the practice and patient care.

Beyond the Office

Raised in Pasadena, Dr. Chang has resided in Valencia for 25 years. Time with his wife Kathy, daughter Adrienne, and the family dog, Bentley, is a priority outside of work. He also enjoys golfing, biking, traveling, and attending sporting events and concerts.
